Raumaster Oy has been selected as a technology provider for Fortum’s modernisation project at the Zabrze combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Poland. Together with consortium partner Mostostal Kraków, Raumaster will deliver comprehensive turnkey implementation of biomass unloading, storage and fuel-feeding systems.

This project will convert the plant’s fuel source from coal to certified biomass, aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by roughly 70%. The initiative is designed to improve air quality and provide a dependable, environmentally friendly heat supply to the local community.

The total investment is approximately EUR 85 million, with agreements signed with three main contractors on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. Project work is expected to begin in spring 2026 and be completed by 2027.
