Wood Handling Division Celebrated 25th Anniversary – Cake and Coffee at the Rauma Office
On Monday, June 15, 2026, cake and coffee were enjoyed at Raumaster’s Nortamonkatu office as the Wood Handling Division celebrated its 25th anniversary. The department officially began its operations a quarter of a century ago, on June 15, 2001.
Over the past 25 years, the department and its operations have grown in many ways. In the very beginning, the focus was on chip and bark handling, from which it gradually expanded into wood handling.
"We have created a broad, practically all-encompassing product family. It has all been possible because we have always had great people in every role, working together. Growth has also required bold decisions. The owners have trusted our work and allowed us to do things our own way," says Petri Lounasaho, Manager of Wood Handling Division.

Lounasaho also serves as the Manager of Raumaster’s Energy External Division, and the two departments work closely together, leveraging each other's specialized expertise. Today, the Wood and Energy External Departments employ nearly 40 people directly.
"Raumaster's way of treating people with openness, which was impressive right from the start, has been preserved to this day. Developing competitiveness plays an important role, and we must do things better than others – with high quality and cost-effectiveness," Lounasaho emphasizes.
