Occupational Health and Safety Requirements for External Suppliers
Occupational health and safety are of primary importance at Raumaster. Our aim is to have zero accidents, and we work continuously to achieve this goal. Our operations are based on international, national and local laws and regulations, the ISO 45001 standard, the requirements of our interest parties, as well as our own health and safety policies, goals and guidelines.
Our aim is to prevent occupational accidents and provide a safe workplace for all employees, visitors and subcontractors. Simultaneously, through our own actions, we want to encourage external suppliers to commit to occupational safety and its development.
A subcontractor must:
- Follow all occupational health and safety demands and guidelines applicable to Raumaster and ensure that the working environment is healthy and safe for employees, guests and subcontractors.
- Follow all local laws, regulations and all other applicable health and safety orders.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and recognise the possible risk factors of work and the workplace, maintaining documentation on both.
- Ensure that all employees have received adequate orientation and guidance for their work along with training on occupational health and safety, and the risk factors associated with their work.
- Take measures to prevent occupational hazards and accidents. These may include adequate safety measures, methods of working, workplace inspections, emergency plans, and personal safety gear.
- Document and inspect all workplace accidents and close calls.
- Aim to amplify employee knowledge on health and safety matters and advance the occupational safety culture through open communication.
All Raumaster suppliers must commit to the requirements above in their own operations. The requirements concern all service (such as installation services) and product (such as equipment, components) suppliers where applicable. Raumaster maintains the right to audit suppliers in order to verify compliance with the requirements.
